So what have we learned here? Heath & The Dark Knight are building momentum for their respective win & nominations and looks like I need to add Happy Go Lucky to my must-see list. Oh and clearly no one in LA saw Let The Right One In, otherwise it would have won Best Foreign Film.

well, it looks like dark knight is gonna be nominated. which is really a shame, cause i name 10 movies more deserving without taking a breath... but what are ya gonna do? as for heath, he's a lock and i have zero problem with that, but i find the lack of kate winslet love disturbing (though sally hawkins is awesome!).

and LQ... let the right one in is GREAT and all, but still life and waltz with bashir are both utter masterpieces (particularly the former). look for a post in my inevitable film stories of the decade series about still life director, jia-zhang ke.
