Battlestar Galatica Auction [WANT]

Today marks the first day of registration for live internet bidding on props, costumes, set pieces and more from Battlestar Galactica.

Figured now is as good a time as any to finally post about this event and provide further proof that were I rich I would spend all my money on geeky items no one really needs to own, but holy crap would possessing them be neat!

Specifically which items would I want? Well since answering "all of them" is cheating, here is a breakdown. Let's start with this beauty:





GALACTICA CIC WALL ORNAMENT!

Imagine the wonder of being at someone's apartment for a party or what have you and noticing that on the wall is a genuine THAT THING. I WANT THAT THING.

Would also take Tigh's flask and drink from it every day. Okay, actually scratch that, I would never drink from it, but I WOULD put it atop my geek shelf next to my once-used Battlestar toaster and stare lovingly at it at least once a week.

Don't even get me started on the War Room Chalkboard. Would it even fit in my apartment? Probably not. Does that matter? ABSOLUTELY not.

And who wouldn't want Baltar's robes?! No one is the answer to that. No one. Because everyone would want Baltar's robes.

o Preview Day/Galactica Behind the Scenes – Friday, January 16, 2009 - Pasadena Convention Center - 10:00am-6:00pm - Panels with BSGs production crew from the art, costume, prop, set decoration and set construction crews

o Live Auction Day – Saturday, January 17, 2009 - Doors open at 8:00 a.m. Auction begins at 9:00 a.m. - Lots #1-400

o Live Auction Day – Sunday, January 18, 2009 - Doors open at 9:00 a.m. Auction begins at 10:00 a.m. - Lots #401-800

o Online Auction of 200 Items – Tuesday, January 20 (Auction goes live at 9:00 a.m. (ET) and will conclude Friday, January 23, starting at 9:00 p.m. (ET).
