Golden State Pops Orchestra is thrilled to present the West Coast premier of Disney in Concert: Tale as Old as Time. A concert of friendship and romance as seen through the eyes of Disney, Tale as Old as Time is the story of hopes and dreams, meeting strangers, developing friendships, finding true love and living happily ever after.
Four vocal soloists, with narration by Chase Masterson, of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine fame, perform songs in a journey of love, sure to touch your heart and rekindle the hope found in all popular children’s stories. Animated clips from favorite Disney films will compliment the music and song selections include: "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" and "Bella Notte", "Part of your World" and "Beauty and the Beast". Disney villains have their moment of glory punctuated by the dramatic music from Sleeping Beauty, "Battle with the Forces of Evil" adapted by Disney composers from the original Tchaikovsky ballet. The Disney Concert Library has been licensing music directly to orchestra organizations worldwide since 1992.
