A Happy V-Day Courtesy of Radiohead

The new Radiohead album, The King of Limbs, is available for pre-order on the band's official website. You can now order either a digital download or the "newspaper album" + digital download. The album will then be available for download this Saturday, Feb. 19th.

I'm too happy for words. Let's just say that life is sweet again and, despite being single, I feel the love everywhere on this stupid holiday.

New Sufjan Album

The new Sufjan Stevens' album The Age of Adz came out Tuesday and is currently on sale at Amazon for $6.99. No, the album is not about a state (if any of you are still clinging to that fantasy you should give up on it now) but it's still pretty good. I streamed it on NPR a couple of weeks ago and although I'm not sold on the album as a whole, I do think it has some great parts. If you're a big Sufjan fan, I think you'll appreciate it--you'll certainly find it worth $6.99. So go here to buy it. And let me know what you think!

New Vampire Weekend! YAY!

You can now download Vampire Weekend's new album "Contra" on iTunes or Amazon. Today, Amazon is selling the whole album for just 3.99! So while I have a lot of issues with Amazon.com (because it's aiding in the demise of real books and bookstores), I still recommend purchasing it here... it's a tough economy and we all need to save money somehow.

Anyway, I still listen to and love the band's first album and I hope this one rocks too.

Missed Kings? Wanna Download it for Free?

I definitely missed Kings Sunday night. Had been meaning to watch it, but for some reason thought it aired on Mondays. Thankfully, iTunes is offering a free HD download of the pilot for those of us who are interested in seeing if our cup of tea. Got great reviews, but bear in mind it also got terrible ratings. So there's a chance this show won't be sticking around for much longer. But hey, if the ratings didn't suck, we probably wouldn't be getting a free download in the first place. I mean, this was the only way I was ever gonna see the pilot after missing it (I can't deal with Hulu constantly skipping. Stupid internet connection.) and if I love it, I'll definitely set a season pass on my dvr.
