THE STRANGERS over HELLBOY 2???
ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME!?
okay... i have to go watch american gokey and block this nonsense outta my mind.
See, I picked Hellboy 2 first, then realized the category was Horror...and Hellboy didn't horrify me so much as it was just...really awesome. The Strangers legitimately scared me, so I went with that. I didn't see Splinter or Quarentine.
But I marked Hellboy 2 for best makeup!
You know I love me some Dark Knight, but as far as writing goes- Let The Right One In >>>>>>>>>>>>>> DK!
Those nominations broke my brain. This is why the Hugos are better.
well, i think the saturn awards are super fun, but prestigious and definitive they are not. i just took beef with LQ's personal favorites... but i think she gives the voters too much credit, and the most beloved film will win in each category, regardless of it being properly placed.
as a random aside, watched tsai ming-liang's WHAT TIME IS IT THERE? this morning and it was stunning. the end.
P.S. the award statue looks like a penis poking through a CD.
