Oh, man. I don't even know what my favorite off beat love story would be. Is it cheating to just say that The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou is one of my favorite movies?

I feel like an answer to this question is right on the tip of my tongue . . . but I just can't get it out.

How can you not go with Max Fischer and Rosemary Cross?

I can't believe no one has said Harold and Maude yet! That is like the most off beat couple imaginable.

I loved Will Ferrell and Maggie Gyllenhaal in Stranger Than Fiction.

One of my favourite offbeat love stories definitely has to be, "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" I LOVE this movie and the concept is rad and was done perfectly.

Virginia and the Wolf from 10th Kingdom. Or possibly Caroline and Mac from Green Wing. It's hard to choose!

I think to stay in the Wes Anderson theme, a favorite love story (even though they are doomed) is Max Fischer and Rosemary Cross in Rushmore. Can't get more off-beat than that!
