Wow, I don't even remember his character's name. The second time was cool cause she was sooo not expecting it. But I TOTALLY agree about Sally Hawkins and I'm so glad that her win had that reaction on people. Happy Go Lucky deserves to seen by as many people as possible. Not enough movies are so joyful and lovely.LoquaciousMusehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10915505540153733746noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21772340073542599.post-60468021545076458952009-01-12T13:18:00.000-08:002009-01-12T13:18:00.000-08:00Sally Hawkins, in all her timid cuteness when she ...Sally Hawkins, in all her timid cuteness when she won, made me want to watch Happy Go Lucky immediately. I just have to watch all her movies now. To me, that was genuine. Too bad I can't say the same about Kate Winslet. Her reaction when she won had the exact opposite effect on me. I couldn't tell if she was drunk or in the middle of shooting a movie. I don't care if I ever watch another one of her films after that. Sorry.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21772340073542599.post-27502012216437169442009-01-12T12:42:00.000-08:002009-01-12T12:42:00.000-08:00Totally agree on the Button vs Slumdog issue. However (and I don't even know if this was televised b/c I was too busy rewatching Battlestar to watch the Globes), Slumdog's score was incredible and totally deserving of that win.Teddy Diefenbachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01984291199978521958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21772340073542599.post-12087152324822208832009-01-12T12:34:00.000-08:002009-01-12T12:34:00.000-08:00Dude, rewind to Sally Hawkins winning. She pulls this doubletake that is AMAZING, and her face is like "OH MY GOD MERYL STREEP JUST SPOKE TO ME OH MY GOD WHAT THE FUCK."<BR/><BR/>It's amazing.EruditeChickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16820695790488562673noreply@blogger.com
